Getting Started With Docker – An Introduction

by bill-s, 2018-05-21T20:40:11.377Z

Before we begin: this post is part one of a series of posts. I’m not sure how long they’ll all be, but I know that there’ll definitely be more than one part to this, as I want to introduce what docker and containerisation is all about, before jumping into the nitty-gritty of how to dockerise your .NET Core apps.

by bill-s, 2018-05-22T19:02:15.823Z

During the event, my discussions in the halls ranged from containers to dev tools, IoT to Azure Cosmos DB, and of course, AI. The pace of innovation available to developers is amazing. And, in case there was simply too much for you to digest, I wanted to pull together some key highlights and top sessions to watch, starting with a great video playlist with highlights from the keynotes.

Microsoft’s Approach to AI

by bill-s, 2018-05-22T19:03:03.879Z

Although AI has been around for decades it is only recently that companies and organizations are starting to adopt it at scale. In my previous post I wrote about the new generation of technology building blocks that will shape the future of digital experiences with a specific focus on Artificial Intelligence, and what is driving the rapid expansion of this capability. In this post I will build on that conversation to discuss how Microsoft currently approaches AI from a business perspective. Before we go into the details, be sure to revisit the first post in this series for context on why AI is taking off now.
